Pussy Riot Claims Responsibility for World Cup 2018 On Field Protest
Pussy Riot, the feminist protest punk rock group from Russia, has claimed responsibility for storming the field during the 2018 World Cup.
While France was playing Croatia in the Sunday (July 15) final match (where France ended up winning), several women dressed in police uniforms stormed the field. The game had to temporarily be stopped while the women were taken off of the field and the players had to wait to resume play.
The group posted a note on Twitter where they claimed responsibility.
