The beloved children’s series Rugrats is coming back to television and a live-action feature film has also been greenlit.

Nickelodeon will be airing 26 new episodes of the animated series and production is already underway in Burbank, according to THR.

Casting for the series will be announced at a later date.

The live-action feature film will feature CGI characters. Both the TV show and the movie will follow the original characters such as Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Lil, Susie, and Angelica.

If they bring it back, they don’t need to re design the characters. So sick of these reboots that do no justice to the source material. And how is the movie going to be live action and CGI at the same time? Just the babies and dog will be CGI? Will it be like Avatar? Motion capture? Please don’t let the babies have adult voices. Not funny.
