Cory Monteith's Mom Speaks About His Tragic Death in Heartbreaking Interview

Cory Monteith‘s mom, Ann McGregor, is opening up about his tragic death in July of 2013.

“He wasn’t ready for the Hollywood world,” Ann told People. “Drugs were his way of checking out.”

Ann says Cory admitted he was using drugs again in December of 2012. Cory went to rehab in April of 2013, but his mom relayed that he had massive dental work done between May and July.

“He had little teeth and they were all capped. He had a lot of medication in his system, which was not good for his body coming out of rehab,” Ann said. Cory‘s cause of death was officially listed him as having “mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol.”

“He didn’t have enough drugs in his system to kill him, but for some reason it did because of his intolerance [built up by periods of intermittent sobriety],” she continued.

Ann added, “I still can’t pick up the pieces. My world totally stopped. And I’m a different person than I was before.” She continued, “Cory was such a loving and genuine person. And the best part of his life was still ahead.”

Our continued thoughts are with Cory‘s loved ones.

Does that even make sense ? Your son was a junkie its the hard thruth. Heroine is addictive. No need to sugar coat things because he is dead. His death should be a testament to other young people not to try heroine or to try and get clean. Not a lie about dental work.

It’s hard to know if it will hurt or help, but nobody normal even knew the poor lady had a son or who he was………………..hopefully she will be consoled knowing we’re not judging him, either. RIP.

The mother IS helping young people. You clearly have no real experience in this, but dental work is dangerous to addicts, and not many young people will know that. I know that sounds ridiculous but one painkiller, can put you on the path to relapse. Problem with addicts is they don’t take painkillers like normal people, they will take one. Feel the effect. Then take more, to see if they can amplify the buzz. This is what she’s getting at, she’s not sugar coating or blaming the dental work lol.

He did get clean, he talked about his addiction in length ever since becoming famous. What she is saying is that he couldn’t deal with fame and fell off the wagon. He tried to get clean again, it didn’t work.

I’m from Europe and we dont get any painkiller after dental work. None. Clearly americans are conditioned to think that they cant whistand pain.
We dont get anything after surgeries actually too. Unless we are dying.
