Lucas Hedges Reveals How He Ruined 'Dan in Real Life'!

Lucas Hedges stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (October 23) and opened up about ruining his big break in his dad Peter Hedges‘ film, Dan in Real Life!

“When I was in fourth grade he gave me one line in his movie Dan in Real Life, which got cut sadly,” the 21-year-old actor told host Jimmy. “My dad is the sweetest person in the world so he kind of invented this scene for me.”

“There’s one scene in the end that I’m in but I kind of ruined the scene because I looked directly into the camera,” Lucas added. “But I think for my dad, it has meaning now that his son somehow stared directly into the lens of his film and was like, ‘I’m here.’”
