Celebrities React to Shooting at Pittsburgh Synagogue

A shooter opened fire at the Tree of Life Synagogue in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday (October 27), killing several and wounding three police officers, the AP reports.

The suspect was in custody of the police by noon ET.

“We must all pray and hope for no more loss of life,” Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf said. “But we have been saying ‘this one is too many’ for far too long. Dangerous weapons are putting our citizens in harm’s way.”

Since the terrible events of today, celebrities have been taking to Twitter to offer condolences and thoughts on gun control.

    While I appreciate the sentiment, I would also like to remind these celebrities that there are also some Democrats that have been spouting anti-Semitic rhetoric. Pointing only at the far-right is missing part of the problem.

    Niall, you think the problem would go away if there were no guns…Hey little boy have you never heard of illegal weapons? How do you know that the weapons used were not illegal or home-made which Google proudly defends sites that show you step by step on how to assemble. So before you get on your boy band soap box, show some compassion towards the victims and stop trying to play Politics little boy. There’s enough hatred in this World from all sides, so let’s stop spreading more especially today.
