Jeffrey Dean Morgan Slams Armie Hammer's Stan Lee Tweet in Now-Deleted Post

Jeffrey Dean Morgan tweeted – and deleted – an insult directed at Armie Hammer and his take on Stan Lee‘s death and the way he’s being mourned by celebrities.

If you missed it, Armie tweeted, “So touched by all of the celebrities posting pictures of themselves with Stan Lee… no better way to commemorate an absolute legend than putting up a picture of yourself.”

Well, Jeffrey decided to respond to the tweet and post, “Looks like you found a way to use others ways of mourning and their memories to draw some attention to yourself. You sound like a real a—hat,” Jeffrey wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted. The tweet has been saved in receipts by fans.

So, celebrities are bullies too…interesting, great example

Too bad he deleted it. Loved Jeffrey’s repsonse.

Good for JDM for calling him out. Tbh I actually kind of agreed with Armie’s point (I personally think it’s tacky to post a picture of yourself with somebody who’s passed to offer your condolences, unless it’s a relative or someone you were equally close to) but the way he lashed out was so petulant and, ironically, attention-seeking – like, “I’M so much better at grieving than the rest of you!!! Be more like ME!!!” – that it’s impossible to take him seriously.

I actually agree with Armie Hammer on this. Celebrities seem to love the humble brag.

    Well he is an asshat.

  • Uncle Buck

They’re both asshats. A clear case of the pot calling the kettle black.

He needs to get off of his high horse. By calling out celebs for their tribute posts, he just made this all about him. He did exactly what he was criticizing others of doing–using Stan Lee’s passing for attention…

  • Sansa Squad

    Exactly!!

He is hardly an attention seeker he is very lowkey and private. Sometimes on social media you just want to rant about something in the moment. And you type a tweet. For a celeb like him that can create a much bigger drama than for us nobodies. Has bigger impact. Cause it gets blown up into a big headline. I think he forgot about that in the moment and just wanted to sound off. Truth is he was 100% correct. They post those pics to make it about themselves. Its often subconscious but thats really the point.
