Maluma & Rosalia Win Big at Latin Grammy Awards 2018!
Maluma is all smiles as he poses in the press room during the 2018 Latin GRAMMY Awards held at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Thursday (November 15) in Las Vegas.
The 24-year-old Colombian superstar took home the contemporary pop vocal album prize for F.A.M.E. Backstage in the press room he said he almost didn’t attend the awards due to a complicated touring schedule.
“But I had a feeling,” Maluma expressed (via LA Times). “I took a plane here at the last minute. I have a show tomorrow in Argentina, but sometimes one just has to believe and take a chance, so we came.”
Rising star Rosalia won two Latin Grammys for Best Alternative Song and Best Urban/Fusion Performanc for “Malamente,” and thanked all the women in music who have blazed a trail, from Lauryn Hill to Björk.
“A woman can have many different roles,” Rosalia said. “Many woman are in suits, producing, building, and I think it’s important to say this. I’m going to have to keep fighting until I find the same number of women in the studio as there are men.”
