Get to Know Anna and the Apocalypse's Ella Hunt With These 10 Fun Facts! (Exclusive)

Ella Hunt is a name you’re going to want to get to know!

The 20-year-old actress is getting rave reviews for her performance in Anna and the Apocalypse, which hits theaters tomorrow. Ella stars in the title role as Anna in the musical thriller about a zombie apocalypse!

Anna is also currently hard at work on her new Apple series Dickinson, where she stars in the role of Sue Gilbert opposite Hailee Steinfeld as Emily Dickinson.

We got the chance to catch up with Ella and learn 10 Fun Facts about her. Here’s what she shared with us…

• 1. I’m extremely clumsy. Especially when it comes to food. I once accidentally sat in a plate of stir fry.
• 2. I grew up on an organic farm in Devon and feel most at home stood in the fields with a pair of wellington boots on and my dogs by my side.
• 3. I never learnt to ride a bicycle (Where I grew up there weren’t any roads to practice on.)
• 4. I’m half Swiss and have ski’ed ever since I was small. However, there are multiple stories of me skiing into my Dad. (I really am very clumsy.)
• 5. I cry with laughter every time I watch the first 15 minutes of 4 Weddings and A Funeral. (I love everything Richard Curtis makes.)

• 6. The Little Mermaid is my favourite musical. Recently at NYCC I was asked during a panel what my favourite musical was and without thinking I spontaneously burst into singing Sebastian the Crab’s “Everything’s better, Down where its wetter, take it from me!” 🙈
• 7. My favourite book is Iris Murdoch’s “The Sea, The Sea”, my favourite artist is currently Alexander Calder (his kinetic sculptures make me calm) and my favourite musician will forever be Nina Simone.
• 8. My piano is my soulmate and I sing and song-write too. I’ve always used songwriting as a way of processing whats going on in my head.
• 9. I’m inspired by women like Reece Witherspoon and Margot Robbie who have started their own production companies. I hope to produce and direct one day.
• 10. Our Cinematographer, Fight Co-ordinator, Choreographer, Producer, Heads of Makeup, Costume and Post Production were ALL women on the set of Anna And The Apocalypse. It was a wonderful environment to work and play in and I really believe Empowered women, Empower Women.
