Nick Jonas Reveals How He Proposed to Priyanka Chopra!

Nick Jonas is opening up about how he proposed to his fiancee (and soon-to-be wife) Priyanka Chopra!

The 36-year-old actress is going to be on the cover of Vogue‘s January 2019 issue and the engaged couple chatted with the mag for an article published ahead of their wedding.

Nick revealed that he proposed during a trip to Crete for Priyanka‘s birthday in July, but he waited until after midnight to propose to not coincide with the birthday celebrations.

“I got down on one knee, again, and I said: Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?” Nick said. “No joke—she took about 45 seconds. Forty-five seconds of silence.”

After Priyanka remained silent, he told her, “I’m going to put this ring on your finger now unless you have any objections.”

The first time that Nick got down on one knee before Priyanka was the first time that they ever met following a texting relationship. She walked past him at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in 2017. He said, “And I put my drink down, get on one knee—this is in front of a bunch of people—and I say, ‘You’re real. Where have you been all my life?’ Like, loud.”
