Pete Davidson Speaks Out About Being Cyberbullied After Ariana Grande Split

Pete Davidson is being bullied online and he’s speaking out about what is going on.

“I’ve kept my mouth shut. Never mentioned any names, never said a word about anyone or anything. I’m trying to understand how when something happens to a guy the whole entire world just trashes him without any facts or frame of reference. Especially in today’s climate where everybody loves to be offended and upset it truly is mind boggling,” the 25-year-old SNL actor wrote on his Instagram.

“I’ve been getting online bullied and in public by people for 9 months. I’ve spoken about [borderline personality disorder] and being suicidal publicly in the hopes that it will help bring awareness and help kids like myself who don’t want to be on this earth. I just want you guys to know. No matter how hard the internet or anyone tries to make me kill myself. I won’t,” he continued. “I’m upset I even have to say this. To all those holding me down and seeing this for what it is — I see you and I love you. Pete.”

Pete was thrust even further into the spotlight at the beginning of the summer when he began dating Ariana Grande. They got engaged but broke things off this fall.

This shows how hypocritical certain fans can be. You get Ariana stans calling out anyone who says stuff about her saying it’s bullying and wrong yet think nothing of telling Pete to kill himself as if it means nothing. It’s not just her though, I’ve seen it with fans of Taylor, Demi, GaGa, Selena, the list goes on. They threaten to sexually assault people, murder them, burn houses down with their kids in it etc and shrug their shoulders when called out. Yet anyone dare say anything about their ‘faves’ and they throw their dummies out the pram and call it bullying.

It’s really disturbing. And anytime Ariana has spoken out to tell people to back off and be kind, they turn on HER too. “Stan” culture is can be so toxic, especially with these younger fans who’ve grown up online and don’t have a clear sense of what’s real and what’s fake. It makes me scared for the world.

It would help if the private part of lives remained private. Relationship issues shouldn’t be press and encouraged in social media.
