Jonah Hill Defends Lady Gaga Over 'One Hundred People in the Room' Quote

Jonah Hill is defending Lady Gaga over her quote that went viral about “one hundred people in the room.”

If you don’t know, Lady Gaga was discovered to have repeated a similar quote several times: “There can be one hundred people in the room and 99 don’t believe in you and you just need one to believe in you, and that was [Bradley Cooper].”

The quote was turned into some videos and Internet fodder as it spread around.

Jonah was at an event this week and defended Lady Gaga.

“I watched it and I was like, ‘she did her damn job.’ Like how many god damn things would she have to say about the same experience. And it’s…kinda that’s what you’re supposed to do…repeat your message out to people about your film. So I watched that video and I thought that was a little unfair. And I actually thought it was kind of amazing I was like, ‘Damn she is a good actress cause it sounds real every time,’” Jonah said in a video at a GQ event captured on Twitter.

“I was like, wow, I thought she got done dirty on that one a little bit. So I basically came here tonight to defend Lady Gaga‘s [speech] about A Star Is Born,” he added.

i hope she doesn’t win an Oscar. Her interviews about Cooper are nauseating.

Depends on who pays the most. All the award shows these days are nothing to do with talent and more about whose agent strikes the best deal.

I doubt that sort of thing goes on with the Oscars. Thousands of people vote on those awards. They can’t all be paid off.

To be honest I’m not sure. There have been endless stories over the years where ppl have came out and said it does and has happened. The French actress Julie Delpy admitted it in an interview a few years back. She said you just have to figure out who is willing to take a bribe, give them what they want and they are in your pocket. Then if you do it enough times, to the right people, you have an Oscar.
