JoJo covered a Mariah Carey Christmas song – but it’s probably not the one you’d expect!

The 27-year-old powerhouse singer posted a cover of Mariah‘s “Miss You Most (At Christmas Time)” from her 1994 album Merry Christmas on Sunday (December 16).

“Wanted to sing one of my favorite Christmas songs and pay homage to the QUEEN Mariah Carey. Imagine being so dope that you single handedly own an entire holiday season!!!?! Her voice and writing has enchanted and inspired me since I was a little girl, so when she started following me on Twitter, I ABSOLUTELY let out a loud shriek and shared the screen shot with every group chat in my phone,” Jo wrote.

Mariah evidently watched JoJo‘s cover – and approved!

“Thank you for this beautiful homage! I’m so happy you chose this song that not many people know. It’s one of my favorite Christmas songs that I’ve written. Love!!! MC,” she commented on JoJo‘s Instagram.
