Outlander's Executive Producer Explains Decision to Leave Jamie & Claire Out of Latest Episode

Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched the latest episode of Outlander!

One of Outlander‘s executive producers and writers, Toni Graphia, is explaining the decision to leave Jamie and Claire (played by Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe) out of the latest episode from season four, episode seven.

During a Q&A on Sony’s Twitter account, a fan wrote, “Can you tell us more about your decision not to include the two leads in ep 407. Outlander is about Jamie and Claire. #AskMattandToni”

Toni responded, “We love [Jamie & Claire], but we believe that even if they are not on screen, it doesn’t mean they aren’t a part of the episode. This is their daughter, who is searching for them to save their lives. Any story about their family is also about them.”
