Halsey Responds to Critics of Her 'The Voice' Finale Performance!

Halsey is speaking out after being met with criticism for her performance on the finale of The Voice on Tuesday night (December 18).

The 24-year-old singer hit the stage to perform “Without Me” alongside Jade Chynoweth, and was met with mixed reaction from some viewers for their same-sex dance, as well as others questioning whether the song was sung live.

“Very proud of the emotional performance i did with @JadeChynoweth on @NBCTheVoice tonight. And also very proud to have pissed off thw homophobic viewers at home who missed the message. Thanks for watching. 🖤🦋,” she wrote on Twitter.

“i don’t get why everytime I do TV people say I’m ‘lipsynching’ like it’s 2018 are people even allowed to do that anymore? I’m not even sure these programs would allow a singer to do it if they begged to cause they’d be scared of tech difficulties compromising the show’s integrity,” Halsey continued, adding “Like I feel so dumb even having to address this lmao.”
