Kevin Hart Posts Message About Learning & Growth After His Ellen Interview

Kevin Hart is speaking out in a new statement following his interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week.

The 39-year-old comedian opened up about the controversy surrounding his years-old homophobic tweets and his decision to back out of hosting the Oscars. Ellen DeGeneres stood by him and said that she supports him and hopes for him to host the awards show.

Both Kevin and Ellen have received backlash in the media for the interview.

“When did we get to the point where we forgot that we all learn, then we all have the ability to grow and with that growth comes a wealth of knowledge. You can’t change without a understanding of what GROWTH means. #Message #LiveLoveLaugh #HappySaturday …..Please grasp this and use it in 2019,” Kevin wrote on Instagram. He also added the below message.

The problem with Hart is that over the past month he has shown that he has NOT grown. It’s not so much what he said in old tweets, even though promoting violence against gay people is never funny and should never be considered a “joke”. It’s really how he behaved after the tweets came out. At first, it was to attack his critics as haters via Instagram, then it was to half apologize while he was dropping out of the oscars and then it was followed by how he is a victim of some conspiracy.

Louis CK had the chance to grow and learn too. He decided the best course was to become a bitter man raging at people of color, gay folks and the Parkland kids.

This isn’t about some PC culture run amok. This is about the fact that you got caught doing something bad and then behaved like a giant, victimized baby about it. If you want redemption or want to show that you’ve grown and evolved you first need to see that YOU are the actual problem and that YOU made the problem even worse.

Glad to see Ellen DeGeneres finally lose all support for having that Kevin Hart on her show and defending him. Was the funniest thing finally seeing so much deserved hate for her.

Very true. But this is going to make it hard for anyone to agree to host the Oscars. If they are going to be scrutinized.

I think the Oscars are trying to find some way to bring him back and he is doing whatever the PR team is telling him Interesting if it works.

  • Seriously

Yes, God forbid you should be scrutinized when you take on the biggest hosting job in the world. If you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

And Hart isn’t going to be hosting. He whined about it yesterday.
