Celebs React to President Trump's Mexico Border Speech
Celebrities are taking to Twitter to react to President Donald Trump‘s latest speech.
The president delivered his first prime-time address from the Oval Office on Tuesday night (January 8) to reiterate that there is a “crisis” at the southern border and that a wall needs to be built.
The partial government shutdown is now in its third week as Trump continues to demand for a wall at the border of Mexico.
“The government remains shut down for one reason and one reason only: the Democrats will not fund border security,” Trump said. “All Americans are hurt by uncontrolled illegal immigration.”
After the speech, celebrities shared their opinions on what Trump said.
Trump was grooming hard tonight. Hitler-Ian rhetoric. Wake up. Fight back or sit down Democrats

Straight lies from the Oval are nothing new. What is new is that @realdonaldtrump is losing base support, and fast, as his failures pile up. @speakerpelosi and @senschumer spoke truth to faux power as they pulled at the threads of an unraveling administration.

How ironic that a president who is AWOL is going to tell us tonight why we need A WALL. #TrumpAddress

#munchausensbyproxy We’re living it every day. It might be called something else; a person holds an entire nation hostage so that they will pay attention to him. What is that called?? Anyone??

MSNBC's Chris Hayes thinks it's awful for Trump to "conflate" illegal aliens with murders committed by illegal aliens.
This is what we've come to.

Wouldn’t it be AMAZING if Trump being president was actually a gag?? Like the government pulled an Alexis stone and they are about to rip of the mask to reveal an actual fair working government??? 🤯 I can dream….

As Trump spouts off with his BS…a reminder of when he had this conversation about the wall with the then President of Mexico. We know what was said thanks to leaked transcripts published in the Washington Post. https://t.co/6heXOac0YU pic.twitter.com/GmzGh8qvgv

President @realdonaldtrump continues to mislead to justify his damaging shutdown. There’s a smarter way for us to invest $5 billion than an impractical wall. The Gateway Project will create jobs, promote economic and national security, and build critically needed infrastructure.

The House passed legislation to reopen the government. Senate Republican leadership must bring this legislation to a vote—until that happens, @SenateDems should continue to block consideration of all unrelated bills. Americans deserve better. We must end this #TrumpShutdown now.

Building a border wall won’t make us any safer. You know what will? Ending this ridiculous #TrumpShutdown and making sure vital agencies like the US Coast Guard, TSA, and federal law enforcement have the funds they need to maintain our national security.
