Meghan Markle's First Official Royal Patronage Revealed!

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (aka Meghan Markle) is making her first royal patronage!

The 37-year-old royal will reportedly be making her first royal patronage to The National Theatre after the official website accidentally revealed the news on Wednesday (January 9) in a new update dated for Thursday (January 10).

“The Duchess of Sussex announced as our new Royal Patron,” the website proclaimed before being quickly taken down. (Screenshots are still floating around!)

This will be the first time that Meghan supports an organization or charity as a member of the royal family.

Meghan previously met with the artistic director of the National Theatre in December according to reports, which first suggested she may be making her first patronage.

Queen Elizabeth II is the current royal patron of the National Theatre, and has reportedly passed the role to Meghan.
