Britney Spears' 10th Studio Album on Hold

Britney Spears recently announced that she was taking an “indefinite work hiatus” and now, Variety has learned that she’s also put an upcoming album on hold.

Variety learned that Britney had been working with hitmaker Justin Tranter, who will be producing her latest album.

He said, “I’m beyond excited to be involved,” but would not confirm when the album was set to be released.

“Everything is on hold right now until [her dad] Jamie is better. But once he is, she will resume working on the album with Justin. Right now, she’s taking some time off to deal with these family issues,” Britney‘s manager told the publication.

Britney announced she would be taking time off after revealing that her father had been suffering from a sudden medical illness.

Britney last released an album in 2016 titled Glory.
