'Final Destination' Reboot In The Works With New Writers

Final Destination is heading back to theaters!

The massively successful horror franchise is being rebooted and re-imagined with a new team of writers, according to THR.

New Line has recruited scary movie mavens and Saw writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan to write the script for the new film.

The first Final Destination movie was released back in 2000 and set up the reoccurring plot where a character has a premonition of a horrific event and cheats their own death. Eventually Death comes after the survivors.

The franchise featured four more installments through 2011.

No details have yet been revealed about the sixth installment.
