Pete Davidson Addresses Suicide Tweet on 'SNL' - Watch Now

Pete Davidson returned to Saturday Night Live in a much lighter mood.

The 25-year-old cast member and John Mulaney stopped by “Weekend Update” where he addressed his alarming tweet back in December 2018 where he said he “didn’t want to be on this Earth anymore.”

During the segment, Pete and John joked about the tweet.

“I’ve been spending time with Pete to try to show him that you can have a life in comedy that is not insane,” John shared. “A sober, domestic life.”

“Yeah, and after observing John’s life, I publicly threatened suicide,” Pete said with a laugh. “I’m sorry, I know I shouldn’t make that joke.”

Actually watched more SNL than I usually do tonight because Pete was in more segments than usually. I tend to fast forward most weeks except to watch Kate, Pete and Cecile.

Not funny at all to joke about suicide. Especially when so many people were in a panic about the comment at the time.

It isn’t really but this was the way he needed to do it for himself. Too many times people say something they wish they could take back or would have remained private. Social media has made instantaneous comments so very public. Everyone should count to ten before posting anything and talk in person whenever possible concerning serious issues.
