Drew Barrymore Says She's 'Made Peace' With Fame Life
Drew Barrymore made an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday (January 22) and gave some insight about her upcoming film The Stand-In, in which a movie star trades places with a look-alike who takes over the movie star’s identity.
The 43-year-old actress is set to play both parts in the film, leading Stephen to ask if she’s ever wanted to do the same thing — “Let somebody else be Drew Barrymore for a while?”
“Well, you can’t be anyone than who you are,” Drew said. “What I’m saying is, I’m stuck here unless I want to move into a bomb shelter. So I’ve made peace with this. However, there is a secret side of me that would totally love to, whah! And go through life not knowing what any of this is like. So, ah, maybe this is my chance.”
“Let me clarify– I’m going into a film where I played two people. It’s a little schizophrenic,” Drew added, making a funny face.
Drew also talked about her hidden talent and her CBS talent show, The World’s Best – Watch the full interview below!
