Cazzie David Gets Pilot Order for New Series at Amazon!

Cazzie David is one stop closer to bringing a new show to her fans!

The 24-year-old writer and actress has received a pilot order from Amazon for her comedy Half-Empty. She is set to star in the show, which she co-wrote with Elisa Kalani.

Half-Empty “follows a sardonic college student whose overactive imagination leads to catastrophic thinking and an endless chain of social disasters,” according to Variety.

Cazzie and Elisa will executive produce the series alongside Sarah Heyward, who will be the showrunner. Augustine Frizzell, who directed the pilot of HBO’s upcoming series Euphoria, will direct the pilot.

“It’s been a delightful collaboration,” Cazzie said in a statement. “Although I have nothing to base that on, having never collaborated.”
