Tina Fey & Busy Philipps Talk Women's Progress in TV Industry at Winter TCAs 2019

Tina Fey and Busy Philipps hit the stage during the Busy Tonight panel during the 2019 Winter TCA Tour on Tuesday (January 29) in Pasadena, Calif.

The ladies were joined by Caissie St.Onge – the three all serve as showrunners on the late night show – and discussed if women were given more opportunities in TV rather than in the film industry.

“It’s 100 percent true. Films are a mess,” Tina said. “TV is better than movies in all the ways.”

Caissie added, “There’s so many different levels of women starting out. Women that have been at this for years…“I moved my way up the ladder in television…It’s easier to give someone a chance probably than a movie. It’s a huge ship.”
