'Potential Persons of Interest' Identified in Jussie Smollett Assault

The Chicago Police Department has located surveillance video of “potential persons of interest” in the Jussie Smollett assault investigation.

“Detectives located a surveillance camera that shows potential persons of interest wanted for questioning in reference to the assault and battery of Empire actor. A community alert with photos is being constructed and will be disseminated shortly,” wrote spokesman Anthony Guglielmi on Twitter on Wednesday (January 30).

In addition, Jussie‘s music manager confirmed he was on the phone with him while it happened and heard some of what happened.

“I heard that clearly. I heard the scuffle, and I heard the racial slur,” he told Variety.

The investigation is still ongoing.
