Busy Philipps Cried When Oprah Called Her on the Phone! (Video)

Busy Philipps broke down in tears when Oprah gave her a phone call!

The 39-year-old Busy Tonight host shared her story involving the 65-year-old executive while stopping by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday (January 31).

“For me, sort of the be-all-end-all is Oprah for so many reasons,” Busy told host Seth Meyers about her dream guests on her show. “I’m of the generation where I would come home after school, make my plate of microwave nachos, and I would see what I needed to learn that day from Oprah. A lot of the lessons that she instilled in me have, like, carried me through to this day, including asking for this late-night talk show, which I technically had no business asking for.”

“So we talked about how it would be funny on my set to have an Oprah phone,” she continued. “We gave members of her staff the phone number from the minute that the show launched. The phone number was a real phone number for her. I never kind of expected it to happen or for her to call, and I always thought that if she were gonna call … I would be told and prepared for it. And that was not what happened.”
