The 33-year-old actor has previously been seen on the series Teen Wolf, Once Upon a Time, and Power. Now he is playing the lead role of Don Cornelius in the series about the origins of Soul Train.

“It’s an untold story because there’s so much about Don that we didn’t know,” he told Complex. “You know the man that is Don Cornelius that hosted the show, which was almost like a persona of sorts. And then now we’re getting to meet the man behind the scenes that created it—all the ups, all the downs, the good, the bad…the bad. We get to see all of that.”
