XXXTentacion Left Out of Grammys 2019's In Memoriam

Rapper XXXTentacion, who was tragically killed at the young age of 20 last year, was left out of the 2019 Grammys In Memoriam tribute on Sunday night (February 10).

Fans noticed that the Grammys paid tribute to Mac Miller, Avicii, singer Nancy Wilson, Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Ed King and Carol Channing, among others, but did not show a photo of the late rapper.

Many took to Twitter after the segment aired to call out the Grammys producers for their huge mistake.

Our continued thoughts are with XXXTentacion‘s family and loved ones.

Uh, it wasn’t a “huge mistake” – it was a tasteful choice and the right call. It would’ve been disrespectful to honor a person who had such negative, dark-sided energy alongside others who never abused, threatened, or inflicted pain on anyone. He was trash and frankly the industry is better off without him.
