Kendrick Lamar & SZA Will Not Be Performing Their 'Black Panther' Song at Oscars 2019!

Kendrick Lamar and SZA will not be bringing “All The Stars” to the 2019 Academy Awards.

The duo will not be a part of the show, and the Black Panther song will not be performed by another act, an Academy source confirmed to Variety on Thursday (February 21).

However, all four of the other songs nominated for Best Original Song will be performed, including “When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings” from The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, “The Place Where Lost Things Go” from Mary Poppins Returns, “I’ll Fight” from RBG and “Shallow” from A Star Is Born.

There was a previous plan to showcase only “Shallow” and “All The Stars” during the show which was canceled due to backlash and nominee solidarity.
