Oscars 2019 Ratings: Show Increases In Viewership from 2018!

The 2019 Oscars ratings are in, and viewership grew by 12% from last year!

The ABC broadcast totaled 29.7 million viewers, compared to the 2018 telecast, which brought in 26.5 million viewers. To offer additional comparison, the 2019 Grammys had 9.7 million viewers and the 2019 Golden Globes had 11.0 million viewers.

This year’s show featured a major change from last year. This year, the Academy went forward without a host and just had a lot of celebrity presenters take the stage throughout the evening to move the show along.
