'A Star Is Born' Soundtrack Returns to No. 1 on Billboard 200 After the Oscars!

A Star Is Born is back on top!

The Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper soundtrack returned to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 for a fourth nonconsecutive week, the official chart company announced on Sunday (March 3).

The album moved 128,000 equivalent album units in the past week, getting a huge boost thanks largely to its Best Original Song win at the 2019 Academy Awards, as well as its return to theaters for a special “Encore” version of the film. Gaga and Bradley also performed the track in a highly buzzed-about performance during the evening’s ceremony.

A Star Is Born now has the most weeks atop the chart for any soundtrack since the Frozen soundtrack’s 13 nonconsecutive week run in 2014.

Finally saw this movie this weekend. I watched it only to see what the hype is all about. I have to say I was really disappointed. I didn’t think Gaga’s acting or even Coopers where that great. The only highlight of the movie was seeing Sam Elliott again.
