Will Smith to Play Serena & Venus William's Father in Upcoming Film

Will Smith is reportedly taking on the role of Serena and Venus Williams‘ father in a new movie.

The 50-year-old actor will play Richard Williams in a upcoming flick titled King Richard, according to Deadline.

The spec script, written by Zach Baylin, follows the Williams family as Serena and Venus grew to be two of the greatest tennis players in the world.

The story depicts how Richard, with no tennis background, overcame tremendous hardship and drew up at a 78-page plan for the girls’ professional tennis careers when they were just children.

Tim White and Trevor White are set to produce under their Star Thrower Entertainment banner alongside Will‘s Overbrook Entertainment banner.
