Gemma Chan Reveals 'Crazy Rich Asians' Sequel 'Won't Shoot Until 2020 at The Earliest'

Gemma Chan is all smiles while making an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday (March 6) in Los Angeles.

The 36-year-old actress talked about growing up in England, what her parents thought of her becoming an actor, making Crazy Rich Asians, having a robotic twin, and her new movie Captain Marvel.

Recently while promoting Captain Marvel, Gemma – who plays Astrid – gave an update on how long we will have to wait for the sequel to Crazy Rich Asians.

“As far as I know they’re starting to write scripts for the second film and the third film. Obviously there are three books in the trilogy,” Gemma told RadioTimes. “But I’ve heard that we won’t shoot until 2020 at the earliest. And we’ll shoot films two and three back to back.”
