Armie Hammer Opens Up About Possible 'Call Me By Your Name' Sequel

It doesn’t look like we’ll be getting a Call Me By Your Name after all.

While promoting his new movie Hotel Mumbai, Armie Hammer talked about the possibility of making a sequel to his Oscar-nominated film – which he stars in with Timothee Chalamet – and he said it’s very “unlikely.”

“Timmy’s out! I’m not sure why. Timmy said the only way he’d do it is if they paid him $15 million,” the 32-year-old actor joked about with Vulture.

A few months ago, Armie said he would be on board for a possible sequel with director Luca Guadagnino already having a story line in mind, but it looks like it’s not working out anymore.

“I’m sort of coming around to the idea that the first one was so special for everyone who made it, and so many people who watched it felt like it really touched them, or spoke to them,” Armie shared.

He continued: “And it felt like a really perfect storm of so many things, that if we do make a second one, I think we’re setting ourselves up for disappointment…I don’t know that anything will match up to the first, you know?”
