Dumbo's Nico Parker Didn't Want Her Famous Parents' Advice

Nico Parker wears a pink coat while heading into the studio for an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday (March 18) in New York City.

The 14-year-old Dumbo actress pre-taped her appearance for the Tuesday episode.

Nico‘s parents are actress Thandie Newton and director Ol Parker, but she says she didn’t look to them for advice when it came to preparing for her role.

“When it came to acting, I didn’t really want advice,” she told THR. “It was very much my own experience.”

Nico revealed that the one major piece of advice that her dad gave her was to learn the names of every person working on the set.
