Ariana Grande Earns 8th Week at Number One with '7 Rings'

Ariana Grande is still on top of the Billboard Hot 100 with her smash hit single “7 Rings.”

The 25-year-old singer just earned her eighth week at number one on the chart, marking her longest run at the top of the chart with one of her songs.

Ariana previously spent seven weeks at number one with her previous single “Thank U, Next.”

The album Thank U, Next is currently at number two on the Billboard 200 albums chart and it hasn’t left the top two positions since the album debuted seven weeks ago. Ariana is the first artist to spend the first seven weeks of an album’s release in the top two spots since Drake did it in 2016 with Views.

having an eight week #1 isn’t that rare the first song to do so was Elvis Presley’s Heartbreak Hotel in 1956 the first RNB song to do so was Boyz II Men’s End Of The Road which did so for 13 weeks in summer/fall 1992 then I’ll Make Love To You did so for 14 weeks in summer/fall 1994 then One Sweet Day with Mariah Carey did for 16 weeks from Fall 1995 to Spring 1996
