Celine Dion Says Fans Won't Be Shocked by Sound of New Album

Celine Dion hits the stage for a special performance at The Theater at the Ace Hotel on Wednesday afternoon (April 3) in Los Angeles.

The 51-year-old entertainer hosted a special event to announce that she has a new album and tour on the way.

During the event she said her kids are going to stay at home in Las Vegas and she’s going to come home as much as possible. This is the first time she’s going on tour without her kids and the longest she’s been away from her kids is 11 days.

Celine is working with Sia on the new album Courage and she teased the sound of the new songs.

“You know, it’s not going to be…a shocking album,” she told ET Canada. “My journey through music, and my evolution through music, is just to get [a] different essence. It’s not to become a different person. What has been done, [has] been done, and it will always be part of my repertoire.”

“But it’s okay to try things, it’s okay…to explore and try things,” she added. “I’m very proud of this album, and the tour will reflect what the album will be.”
