Elle Fanning Joins Jury for Cannes Film Festival 2019

The 2019 Cannes Film Festival will take place in mid-May and the stars joining the jury have been announced.

Birdman and The Revanant director Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu is the jury president this year and he will be joined by Elle Fanning and Oscar-nominated filmmakers Yorgos Lanthimos (The Favourite) and Pawel Pawlikowski (Cold War).

“The Cannes’ Jury is invited to see films directed by the greatest filmmakers of our time – which is the case again this year. Everyone of the directors being part of the competition also has to know they will be considered by strong artists – which is also the case!” Cannes president Pierre Lescure and artistic director Thierry Frémaux said in a statement.
