Live-Action 'Sonic' Will Get a Makeover After Trailer Criticism

The first trailer for the upcoming live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie was released this week and fans didn’t have the best reaction to the famous character’s look.

People on social media compared Sonic’s design to that of Mike Myers‘ version of The Cat in the Hat and some didn’t like that the character had human-like teeth.

Now, director Jeff Fowler is acknowledging the criticism and says that he plans on making changes to the film before its release on November 8.

“Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear… you aren’t happy with the design & you want changes. It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be…” he wrote on Twitter.
