Ava DuVernay & Lee Daniels Arrive Together for Met Gala 2019

Ava DuVernay brightens up the 2019 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 6) in New York City.

The 46-year-old director donned a silk green dress with a giant pink flower on it as she arrived at the event.

Joining Ava on the pink carpet was fellow director Lee Daniels who kept things cool in a pair of sunglasses and leopard-print coat.

The Costume Institute Gala Benefit this year is celebrating the opening of the “Camp: Notes on Fashion” exhibition.
