Lena Waithe Suits Up for Met Gala 2019

Lena Waithe hits the pink carpet alongside designer pal Kerby Jean-Raymond as they arrive at the 2019 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 6) in New York City.

The 34-year-old actress and producer sported a light-blue suit with “Black Drag Queens Invented Camp” written across the back along with yellow boots as she arrived at the event.

The Costume Institute Gala Benefit this year is celebrating the opening of the “Camp: Notes on Fashion” exhibition and is hosted by Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, Serena Williams, Gucci designer Alessandro Michele, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

FYI: Lena is wearing a Pyer Moss suit, which Kerby designed. Both suits also feature custom portrait sculpture buttons designed by Johnny Nelson Jewelry.
