'American Idol' Renewed for Season 3, Will Celeb Judges Return?

American Idol has been renewed for a third season by ABC!

This will actually be American Idol‘s 18th season after the show spent the first several seasons over at Fox.

TV Line is reporting that the network is looking to tighten funds for season three and this could happen in part for salary negotiations with judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. ABC has reportedly made offers to these three judges, but no word if they will accept.
