Emilia Clarke Reacts to Daenerys' Big Twist in 'Game of Thrones'

Emilia Clarke is sharing her reaction to what happened with her character Daenerys’ story line during the latest episode of Game of Thrones.

This post will obviously contain spoilers, so beware of reading any further if you haven’t watched the new episode.

During “The Bells,” which is the fifth episode of the final season, Daenerys and her dragon Drogon burned down King’s Landing, killing lots of major characters and tons of innocent civilians.

Daenerys snapped while looking at the Red Keep, the home her family built, after Cersei had rung the bell and surrendered to her.

“Every single thing that’s led her to this point, and there she is, alone. We’ve all got this part of us, that part that goes, ‘I’m gonna put that chocolate cake down.’ [Laughs.] ‘And I’m going to walk away.’ We can’t be getting into these moral conundrums all the time. I’m not saying chocolate cake is a moral conundrum—eat as much f–king cake as you want—but those things that you wrestle with in yourself,” Emilia said in a video about the episode.

Emilia also posted the below picture on Instagram and captioned it, “This is what it took not only to shoot ep5…but to watch it too!” In hashtag format she added, “So shocking it blew my wig off.”
