Kelly Ripa Slams 'The Bachelor' & Chris Harrison Has Something to Say in Response

Kelly Ripa slammed The Bachelor franchise as “disgusting” and Chris Harrison and creator Mike Fleiss don’t seem happy about it.

“You guys, you know how I feel about the show — it disgusts me,” Kelly said on Live! with Kelly & Ryan this week. “I can’t stand the idea of 25 exceptional women fighting over one ordinary fella, in my opinion. You know how I feel, ladies; we are too special to be arguing over a guy.”

Well, Chris, who has hosted The Bachelor since the beginning, had something to say in response!

He tweeted, “Look out #BachelorNation ⁦@KellyRipa⁩ is coming after you and your “disgusting” Monday night habit.”

Mike, meanwhile, tweeted, “Easy, @KellyRipa … #TheBachelor franchise pays your salary!”

I agree with Kelly on this. The Bachelor is disgusting. I know the network and the show need rating but wow… What a way to go. I don’t know how her salary works and all but that woman last time I checked the Kelly and Ryan show is signed to ABC which is technically Disney. Somebody needs to get over themselves and accept not everyone loves the idea of their show.

Harrison is so bitchy. Kelly’s is allowed to not like the damn show

I used to watch it and like it when I was younger, but now I have seen an episode and I thought “What’s this crap?” This is all fake and dumb, how can people watch this garbage?

But nowadays, you’ll find men who will say the same thing about the Bachelorette show. You know, why should so many men vie for 1 woman.

I’m not one of them. I agree with Steve Harvey. Men are hunters.

I agree that no one should be part of a harem. The contestants know what it is. It’s a reality show for these pretty people to get noticed. It isn’t about love. No one forces them to try out, be on it, do anything they don’t want to do, etc. Their viewers watch for the craziness. I don’t watch it or the morning talk show either.

It’s a moneymaker for him. She has followers. He’s trying to protect his income.

Exactly, no one forces them to try out and be on the show, Free will. I don’t watch it either but for those that do to each their own.

I agree with you that it’s gross. Just because something is easy to produce and makes money doesn’t mean a network should keep it on for 50 years, which is where I see it going. Have some standards, ABC.
