Grumpy Cat Dead - Beloved Internet Famous Cat Dies at 7

Grumpy Cat has sadly died.

The beloved cat, known for her “grumpy” scowl that attracted a huge following on the Internet, died at the age of 7, according to her owners on Friday (May 17).

“Despite care from top professionals, as well as from her very loving family, Grumpy encountered complications from a recent urinary tract infection that unfortunately became too tough for her to overcome. She passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, May 14, at home in the arms of her mommy, Tabatha,” a statement read on her Instagram.

Her memorable facial expression was caused by feline dwarfism and an underbite, according to her owner. Her real name was Tardar Sauce.
