Piers Morgan Slams Idea of Sophie Turner Playing Boy George

Piers Morgan seems to be one of the only people who doesn’t love the idea of Game of ThronesSophie Turner potentially playing Boy George in the biopic about his life.

If you missed the story, Sophie responded to a headline this week that said Boy George would love to see her in the role. Sophie said she’d be “so down” to play him in a movie.

Boy George, in his biopic, presumably at some stage has sex with people. How is he going to do that if he doesn’t have the equipment?,” Piers said (via The Sun) on Good Morning Britain during a rant. “There are reality checks to having Sophie Turner playing Boy George, one of which is: she’s a woman.”

Piers added, “Does Wonder Woman get played by a man? No. When someone is a famous man like Boy George how can it be a women playing [him]? Create your own damn character. Don’t take our characters, don’t take our pop stars, leave us alone.”

He continued, “It’s a very insidious thing that every male character, a woman wants to play, it’s creepy.”

Does Piers think sex scenes in movies are real or something?

And what is this twat famous for other than bullying women on social media?

    Calm your tits, Piers. JFC.

  • mahbelle

i agree with him. boy george is a man and a man should play him.

  • FerCat

She’s not a great actress. Let’s stop at that.

  • greppinwolf

He’s going to be shocked there has already been a movie with women playing a male musician… namely Bob Dylan.

    But he’s a real sh*t burger.

  • Fah Q

Shut the fuck up you retarded twat. A MAN WHO IS VERY FEMININE SPECIFICALLY WANTS A WOMAN TO PLAY HIM BECAUSE THEY SORT OF LOOK ALIKE. How the hell is that debatable if it’s his own choice for his own story? It’s no one else’s place to tell Boy George who should play him if he picked Sophie Rurner. Get over your masculist patriarchy.

  • mahbelle

You kiss your mother with that filthy mouth?

  • Fah Q

There’s more terrible male actors in Hollywood who only get parts for being good locking.

  • Wendy

Why does he care so much? If it’s about Boy George, shouldn’t be only Boy George who should have a say? If that’s what he wants, so what? Don’t like it, don’t see it when/if it comes out. This dude is so insufferable. Always has bullshit opinions when no one asked.

This old woman-hating narcissist should just die already. Ariana Grande was an idiot for thinking there could be anything redeeming in him.

  • FerCat

You mean like Clooney, Pitt, DeCaprio, Gosling, Hemsworth at times, Wahlberg, Franco, Reynolds, Tatum, Damon, Efron, Pratt, etc ? ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  • mahbelle

You can’t be serious putting Clooney, Pitt, DiCaprio and Gosling in the same category as those other actors. They are permanent A list and have talent.

  • FerCat

They are not transformative in any role, perhaps an exception for Pitt in his Fight Club/12 Monkeys days. Otherwise they’re just playing themselves as other people.

Gosling is the worst, he creates these emotionally vacant characters that none fans can’t relate to. I thought it was an acting choice but it kept showing up in everything he does.

Ask yourself this. If they didn’t look at all the way they do, with their current acting skills. How likely would they be famous or even working as actors?

  • mahbelle

Yes. They are all charismatic, good actors and have that “it” factor. I don’t think Gosling is particularly handsome. Clooney made the difficult transition from TV to movies which few can do. DiCaprio made the transition from kid actor to adult mega star which few can do. It’s called star power.

  • FerCat

Yes. As Julie Andrews was once asked if she wanted to be a star or a great actor depended on where she went. Hollywood or the theater.

Megastar and great actor are mutually exclusive terms which is the point of my original response.

  • mahbelle

I didn’t say they were great actors but they are good ones. So you’re saying that Marlon Brando wasn’t a great actor because he stopped doing plays? Pacino? Hanks? Bette Davis? Katherine Hepburn? Sam Rockwell? Just to name a few.

  • FerCat

Recheck the list above. Notice I did not mention those names.

  • mahbelle

I know you didn’t. You did indicate that “great” actors are theater actors and movie actors are just “stars”. So not true.

  • FerCat

That was a quote from someone having a conversation with Julie Andrews. And in many ways it is true. Stars with theater background often are superior to those who don’t.
Sure there can be occasional outliers but for the most part it is the rule. Stars even do theater work to hone their skills.
Emma Stone for example has become a much better actress after her stint in Cabaret. Still can’t shed a tear on camera though.

  • Wendy

my question to you and him is, why do you care? It’s not up to you or Piers who “should” play him. It’s up to the casting director of the movie, which I highly assume will be working with Boy George, so it’s actually up to him. So fuck what he thinks, because YOU can’t handle the thought of a woman playing a man? Are you that insecure in yourself that you can’t handle it?

  • mahbelle

    Take a pill.

  • Wendy

so I take that the answer is, yes, you ARE that insecure in yourself lmao. Damn, that’s gotta suck.

  • mahbelle

    I take it you’re a presumptuous fool🤣😂
