The 44-year-old Joker star and the 34-year-old The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo actress are now engaged after three years of dating, Us Weekly reported on Sunday (July 21).

Back in late May, rumors swirled that the two were engaged after Rooney was spotted wearing a large diamond ring on her left hand.

The two first met while filming 2016′s Mary Magdalene, in which Rooney Mara played the title role and Joaquin Phoenix played Jesus.
