'Avengers: Endgame' Cut Scene Involved Captain America's Beheading

Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of Avengers: Endgame, revealed that they cut a scene that involved Thanos beheading Captain America (played by Chris Evans).

The scene would see Thanos cut off Captain America’s head in 2014, and head to the future to show future Captain America his severed head in the aftermath of their battle.

Anthony and I were clinging to this concept that we wanted Thanos to walk up to the Avengers and throw Captain America’s head on the ground. We couldn’t give up on it, and finally we said, ‘All right, what if we don’t do that, can we find another way into the third act?’ And that’s when it turned into what it is now,” Joe said during an interview with EW.

The actual end of Avengers: Endgame saw Captain America head back in time to return the Infinity Stones. He then went back to the 1940s to live out his life, before jumping to the future to hand his Captain America shield over to Falcon (Anthony Mackie).

If you missed it, Avengers: Endgame just reached a huge milestone!
