Orlando Bloom & Cara Delevingne Talk About 'Carnival Row' & How It Relates to Immigration
Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne appear on stage to discuss their new series Carnival Row on Saturday morning (July 27) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The co-stars participated in Amazon’s portion of the 2019 TCA Summer Press Tour.
Orlando and Cara discussed the immigrant themes that are present in their new show, which launches on August 30.
“It really looks at the fear that people have. I think there’s so much fear in the world today about immigrants, migrants, how are they going to come into our society,” Orlando said (via Variety).
Orlando also talked about how the show follows members of a faerie population who turn to sex to “support their families.” He said, “It’s tragic and it’s true and it happens in the world today.”
“If you miss the sexy element where’s the light at all,” Cara added. “It’s not objectifying at all, it’s beautiful and it’s amazing.”
It was announced during the panel that Carnival Row has already been renewed for a second season. Watch the new teaser trailer that was just released!
