Netflix Series 'Money Heist' Is Breaking Viewership Records!

If you haven’t heard of the Netflix series Money Heist (La Casa de Papel), it’s time to start paying attention!

The Spanish-language series just broke the Netflix viewership record for the biggest first-week for an original non-English-language series.

34,355,956 Netflix household accounts watched the third season of the series in the first seven days following its July 19 global launch.

More than 24 million of those accounts, which is 70% of the total, completed the full third season during the first week. To put things into perspective, the complete third season of Stranger Things was watched by 18.2 million accounts in its first four days.

In Money Heist, eight thieves take hostages and lock themselves in the Royal Mint of Spain as a criminal mastermind manipulates the police to carry out his plan.
