Saoirse Kennedy Hill Dead - RFK's Granddaughter Dies at 22 at Kennedy Compound

Saoirse Kennedy Hill, the granddaughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy, has died at the young age of 22.

The tragic death occurred from an apparent overdose, according to the New York Times. Emergency responders went to the Kennedy Compound in Hyannis Port, Mass. on Thursday afternoon (August 1) and Saoirse was pronounced dead at Cape Cod Hospital.

“Our hearts are shattered by the loss of our beloved Saoirse,” the Kennedy family said in a statement. “Her life was filled with hope, promise and love.”

Her grandmother Ethel Kennedy said, “The world is a little less beautiful today.”
